Senior C++ developer for aviation applications

We are looking for a talented candidate in software development who is ready to take on new challenges in the development of modern air traffic control systems with advanced user interfaces.

Your responsibilities:

  • The developer is expected to become familiar with the product functions and contribute to the success of the product, which is a fairly complex distributed system in C and C++ running on linux.
  • The development activities will include design of new functionality, coding and testing of new and modified modules, troubleshooting and fixing reported problems, and helping other team members with technical problems.
  • The senior developer can work in relatively old modules written in C in a procedural style but will mostly contribute to newer modules written in C++ in an object-oriented fashion.
  • The senior developer will also analyse and write software requirements, write software documentation and test plans, debug existing systems, perform code reviews, and participate in normal activities of an Agile development team.

The requirements:

  • Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace or Software Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum of (5) five years of experience in C/C ++ working on large software systems
  • Knowledge of the linux operating system
  • Knowledge of the aviation industry
  • Strong Knowledge of Graphical User Interface development for desktop systems, ideally with Qt.
  • Experience in software engineering techniques, test methodologies and software development practices.
  • Excellent aptitude for analysis, problem solving and decision making.
  • Competent in English (spoken and written) for technical work, and ideally also in French for day-to-day reporting.
  • Self-motivated and excellent communication skills
  • Good team player
